Going to Rice University in Houston next week to a Baccalaureate Mathematics Workshop.may come back with a new accent! Dreading the 5 am start and two flights. The course starts at 7.30 am each morning till 5.30 pm.The furthest I have been with the College is Dundee. Tried downloading a photo from clipart- hope for the best)

Houston - you lucky thing. And remember that the shops in America dont close till 9 - book that excess luggage girl.

What a great experience - except for the 5am flights. Remember to take tea bags and enjoy the short stacks for breakfast. Shop til you drop.

Back home at last. Jet lag is terrible today so I will leave more info about the trip till I have recovered. Came back on Tuesday afternoon and went back to teaching wednesday - big mistake!!
